Yes. Legal counselling, mediation referrals, rights workshops and case representation through our pro-bono panel are 100% free for qualifying clients. We are funded entirely by donations, grants and volunteer professionals.
How quickly will I hear back?
Helpline calls connect you to a counsellor immediately. Online messages are triaged within one business day — urgent protection cases are escalated within hours.
Is my conversation confidential?
Absolutely. We apply lawyer-client privilege standards across all our services, including the helpline and digital platform. Your data is encrypted and never shared without explicit consent.
Where does my donation go?
89% of funds go directly to field programmes. 11% covers operations, fundraising and governance. Our annual transparency report publishes every grant, expense and outcome.
Can I volunteer without a law background?
Yes — most paralegals and contributors have no legal background. Translators, designers, researchers, tech builders and outreach volunteers are essential. We train everyone thoroughly.
How do I qualify for legal aid?
Aid is prioritised for people who cannot afford representation and face significant legal jeopardy. Our intake counsellor will assess your situation in the first call — no documents needed upfront.
